The FRIGO project was born in Florence in 2016 as a pop singer-songwriter evolution of "Fabrizio Frigo and the Frezeers", a band active since 2011 that has stood out over the years for its intense live activity (opening the concerts of Elio e le Storie Tese, Meg, Aucan, Marta Sui Tubi, Piotta, NoBraino, Lo Stato Sociale and many others) and for the publication of an LP (Donsusai, 2015), which lays the foundations of their electro-pop sound. In 2016 the long journey that will lead to the writing of the new album begins, the first under the name FRIGO. The album (titled “Non Importa” and released on 04.12.2019) was produced by Pietro Paletti (Woodworm, Sugar Music) and Francesco Felcini (Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica, Giorgio Canali, Motta) for La Clinica Dischi and Luovo/iCompany (Artist First distribution).
The songs, still unreleased, have already received three prizes: the text of "La Gioia e l'Anxiety" was selected to be published in the collection of Mogol's CET International Competition; “Lions from the courtyard” wins the “Mai in Silenzio” competition on gender violence organized by Controradio (on the jury, among others, Brunori SaS and Irene Grandi). The song was presented live for the first time in front of 8,000 spectators at the Mandela Forum in Florence on 10.12.2018, Human Rights Day; finally, with the songs " Quando tu non ci sei " and " Vento da Maiali " they won the Ciampi Award for the best unreleased songs and performed at the Goldoni theater in Livorno together with Roberto Vecchioni, Dente, Teresa De Sio and others.
