“"It's true we need to rethink the system, slow down a bit, be closer to
our fashion community, to consumers, not exaggerate with the anticipation of the seasons,
be more connected to the real world, and to real people...".
Carlo Capasa the president of the Chamber of Italian Fashion.

What is Slow Fashion Design
A
"Slow+Fashion+Design supports and disseminates the slow philosophy, promotes artisans and local realities, as Italian cultural heritage and economic resource to be protected. It aims to create contacts between members and supporters, in order to give life to new collaborative projects, drawing proposals and resources from different sectors, united by the same ethical principles. Awareness, ethics, quality and territoriality are just some points of the decalogue to which Slow+Fashion+Design refers.
"BUY LESS, CHOOSE WELL, MAKE IT LAST!"
VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
Exhibitions, exhibitions, installations, talks, workshops that intertwine between fashion, design, architecture, artists, artisans and companies, telling
the story of sustainability and the circular economy. This project aims to promote some points of the UN Agenda 2030 and ethical design as the central point of all dialogue and development. The epochal transition we are experiencing pushes us to commit ourselves to thinking and creating objects that are not only aesthetic, but also ethical, through the development of a circular economy with respect for man and work, the environment and biodiversity.
Decalogue
Slow+fashion+Design with a decalogue aims to give a guideline to establish general principles of life and above all of work.
The objective is also to highlight "social and environmental responsibility" especially in the fashion sector. In some way we would like to trace a responsible and sustainable Italian path, hoping to encourage the adoption of responsible business models where, through the creation of short supply chains, our Italian system can benefit.
The Decalogue is organized into 10 general principles to adapt to multiple sectors and lifestyles.Today the designer, the architect or anyone at the beginning of the value chain has a great responsibility to make the right choices consistent with the principles of the Decalogue and the goals set by the UN for the 2030 agenda.
Designing quality products that can last over time while minimizing the impact on the environment must become habitual. Having a corporate code of ethics and leadership behavior is a fundamental step for the future.
We must start to improve and verify all aspects of the life cycle of the product or service, from concept to disposal, working on a circular economy and no longer linearity as has been the case up to now.
According to Slow+Fashion+design, the winning business model is to create short supply chains to guarantee a circular, transparent and environmentally sustainable economy.
WHY SLOW+FASHION+DESIGN?
SLOW+FASHION+DESIGN was born from the desire to share a lifestyle. Get involved, in a concrete way, with ideas and projects, sharing experiences, to spread slow life.
Starting from fashion and design through everything that is SLOW, fashion, ethical design, sustainability and short supply chains.
The objective of SLOW+FASHION+DESIGN is to encourage collaborations and suggestions by involving architects, designers and companies. But also among people who choose an intense life, savoring the best in every moment.
People who believe in intellectual ethics, sustainability and beauty.
We need to return to being the central point of our existence. Wealth and well-being are given, not by what one possesses, but by the quality of life.
There is a need to realign ourselves with natural rhythms, starting from inner listening, to fully satisfy our needs.
Move away from everything that standardizes, that makes bad copies. Slaves of fashion and design that are used only to appear, they impoverish us of originality and personality. Of the infinite number of proposals we have, we must ask ourselves what is really right for us.
Today we tend to surround ourselves with many objects, but we give importance to few. Everything is at your fingertips, and it's easy to take everything for granted..
Just as SLOW FOOD, SLOW+FASHION+DESIGN underlines the importance of time, the origin of the products, information on how they are made and who made them. Consciously choosing what we want fully satisfies individual needs.
SLOW+FASHION+DESIGN shares life experiences, projects and companies by telling and disseminating ethical principles for a new circular and territorial economy through new short supply chain business models.

Slow fashion design
Slow+Fashion+Design was born from the desire to share a lifestyle and business style, especially in fashion and design, for those who believe in ethics, short supply chains and sustainability.
Ethical design, responsibility and territoriality are values we believe in for the future, both in socio-cultural terms and in terms of design and implementation.
